During the 60th meeting of the Network Planning Group (NPG) held on November 16, the commerce ministry announced that the steel ministry is in the final stages of formulating its Sectoral Plan for Efficient Logistics (SPEL). This plan, expected to be completed soon, is anticipated to be a comprehensive strategy aimed at enhancing logistics efficiency within the steel sector.

Additionally, the meeting highlighted the strategic approach outlined in the SPEL, which involves a comprehensive analysis of the supply and demand dynamics concerning iron ore. The steel ministry's plan extends to forecasting requirements up to 2030-31 and beyond, incorporating strategic logistics planning to ensure preparedness for future demands.

Moreover, the coal ministry presented its significant findings concerning the integrated coal evacuation plan, a part of the Coal Logistics Policy 2023, during the meeting. These presentations aimed to address various aspects of logistics and strategic planning in the respective sectors.
