New Delhi: Amrit Lal Meena, the Coal Secretary, commended the efforts of the state-owned Coal India Ltd (CIL) and encouraged the company to persist on its growth trajectory. During his visit to the Coal India Ltd exhibition at the India International Trade Fair (IIFT) 2023 held at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi, the secretary lauded the initiatives undertaken by the maharatna firm.

According to a statement from the coal ministry, Meena praised Coal India's endeavours and urged the company to continue advancing while organizing campaigns to raise awareness among citizens about the strides made by India's coal sector.

Emphasizing the nation's interests, various measures are being implemented, prioritizing community welfare and environmental conservation, adhering to the policies established by the central government.

The exhibition pavilion showcased Coal India's achievements over the last decade, spotlighting its dedication to ensuring the country's energy security and its commitment to environmental sustainability, as well as the welfare of local communities.

The statement further highlighted, "The display featured diverse initiatives, demonstrating the transparent operation of an Indian PSU that prioritizes safety, quality, and the adoption of modern technologies to provide fuel to a nation in progress."
