Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL) recently hosted the first Conference-cum-Exhibition on Redefining the Indian Mining Sector (CERIMS), organized by the MGMI-Odisha Branch. The conference saw significant participation from technocrats in the mining and allied sectors and was graced by the presence of Shri PM Prasad, Chairman of Coal India Limited, who attended via video conferencing.

The event, CERIMS-2023, was attended by other notable figures, including Shri OP Singh, CMD of MCL, Dr. P S Mishra, CMD of SECL, Shri B Veera Reddy, Director (Technical) of Coal India & CMD of CCL, Shri Mukesh Choudhary, Director (Marketing) of Coal India, Shri Keshav Rao, Director (Personnel) of MCL, Shri PK Patel, CVO of MCL, Shri JK Borah, DTO of MCL, Shri AK Behura, DF of MCL, Shri AS Bapat, DTPP of MCL, and Prof. AK Mishra, Director of CSIR-CIMFR, among senior officers from Coal India and allied industries.

In addition to the conference, an exhibition showcasing new technologies and practices in the mining sector was also organized.
