A day after the chief minister's flying squad discovered illegal coal at a brick kiln in Yamunanagar's Damla area, the police have registered a case against the owner, Ajay Bansal. The squad alleges that Bansal conspired with officials and employees of a thermal plant to transport coal to his site without any proper billing.

Sub-inspector Rajesh Kumar from the squad informed the police that they received a tip-off, which led to the raid at M/S Ambey Bricks, where they found coal at the kiln. When questioned about the bills, the clerk, Gurmail, stated that the coal was supplied from the thermal plant, but he had no knowledge of the billing details.

Subsequently, the executive engineer of the thermal plant, Bhisham Kumar, arrived at the scene and denied that the coal came from their site. However, the presence of a significant amount of coal was observed, and the squad has video evidence of it being unloaded.

A case has been registered against Ajay Bansal at Yamunanagar Sadar police station under Sections 420 (cheating), 120B (criminal conspiracy), and 409 (misappropriation) of the Indian Penal Code.
