Shri PM Prasad, Chairman of Coal India Limited, conducted a review meeting on July 2, 2023, at the Coal Headquarters to discuss production, productivity, and future plans. During the meeting, he commended the work culture and performance of the team.

Mr. Prasad urged the Regional General Managers and Departmental Heads present at the meeting to ensure timely completion of all projects. He emphasized the importance of adhering to designated timelines.

The review meeting included a detailed presentation by WCL CMD Mr. Manoj Kumar, who highlighted the achievements of the previous year (2022-23) and outlined the plans for the current year. Mr. Kumar expressed confidence in WCL's ability to achieve the target for coal production and dispatch in the current financial year (2023-24).

Prominently present at the meeting were Director (Personnel) Dr. Sanjay Kumar, Director Technical (Operations) Mr. J.K. P. Dwivedi, Director Technical (Planning & Projects) Shri. Of. Singh, Chief Vigilance Officer Shri Ajay Mhetre, Executive Director (Coal India), and Technical Secretary to Chairman Shri M.K. Singh.

Prior to the review meeting, Mr. P. M. Prasad was welcomed by a salute from the WCL security guard upon his arrival at the headquarters. He then visited the Integrated Command and Control Center (ICCC) for e-surveillance established at the WCL Headquarters. Impressed by the ICCC, he provided important instructions for its further improvement.

Subsequently, Shri Prasad proceeded to the Vani area from Vaikoli headquarters, where he inspected the Panganga and Mungoli mines of the Vani region. He interacted with the area's team and encouraged them to increase coal production while ensuring strict adherence to safety norms in mining operations.
