Reduction in the average daily power supply in rural areas of states like Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Telangana, and Himachal Pradesh is attributed to the supply and distribution responsibilities held by the respective state governments.
In Bhopura, located in Ghaziabad just 20 km away from central Delhi, the residents have been experiencing power cuts lasting 8-10 hours per day for the past month. The situation worsens during rainy weather as the electricity supply is pre-emptively disconnected.
Bhopura is not the only place affected by this issue. Several towns and villages in Uttar Pradesh have been facing unscheduled power cuts, prompting Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to express his displeasure and direct officials to ensure a continuous and uninterrupted power supply.
